SPC SOLITÄR
![]() |
At work or at home, there are situations when you feel worried. The security device you have, if any, is usually a fixed or portable alarm button that is part of an alarm system. It is a weakness of such systems that you must be able to get at the button during or after the event, either in view of the malefactor or after you have already been tied up and left. SPC Solitär has one function more than those systems. You can raise the alarm directly, just as you usually would, but you can also create a delayed alarm that you deactivate if the situation turns out not to be so threatening after all. To exemplify, let's take two typical applications, at work and at home. Work: You are working as a desk clerk at a hotel, alone at night, and the bell rings in the wee hours of the night. Is it just a late guest, or is it someone with totally different intentions? You tend a video store alone, and the man checking out the videos over there is really taking his time. Is he waiting for the right moment to pounce, or.. Home: You wake up to the sound of breaking glass from the ground floor. Is it a prank, or is it something else? The doorbell
rings at 10.30 pm. Is this just your neighbour who locked herself out,
or... SPC Solitär can be integrated with all modern burglar alarms. You can press the alarm button directly on the panel, or you can set SPC Solitär to raise the alarm after a delay. If the delay lapses, the alarm is sent automatically. The remaining time to alarm is shown with diodes.
